Core Web Vitals checker

How real Chrome users experience a page: LCP, INP and CLS from Google’s Chrome UX Report, split by phone and desktop.

  • p75 for each metric, with the share of good, needs improvement and poor visits
  • Pass or fail for one URL or the whole origin
  • Up to 40 weeks of history
HTML only · one request

Page size checker

How heavy a page’s HTML is and what it is made of. Images, scripts, stylesheets and fonts it loads are not counted.

  • HTML size to download and uncompressed, with the compression rate
  • Breakdown: markup, text, inline CSS and JS, SVG, framework data
  • Head vs body, compared with the median web page
Page + up to 40 files

Gzip & Brotli checker

Whether the server compresses the page and its text files, and how many bytes that saves.

  • Encoding served for the HTML: Brotli, gzip or none
  • Original vs transferred size and savings per file
  • Text files sent without compression

Which tool do you need?

Your question

Tool

Is my site fast for real visitors? Does it pass Core Web Vitals?

Core Web Vitals checker

Why is my HTML so large? Will Googlebot read all of it?

Page size checker

Does my server use gzip or Brotli? Which files are sent uncompressed?

Gzip & Brotli checker

The three work well together. If Core Web Vitals fail on LCP, check whether the HTML is heavy and whether it is compressed: the browser can’t show the main content before the HTML arrives.

Where the numbers come from

None of these tools runs a lab speed test. Each one measures something specific, so results don’t change with where you run them from.

  • Core Web Vitals checker reads Google’s Chrome UX Report: visits real Chrome users made over the last 28 days. Pages with little traffic may have no data.

  • Page size checker sends one request for the page and measures the HTML the server returns, without running JavaScript.

  • Gzip & Brotli checker requests the page like a current Chrome browser, then checks up to 40 of its same-origin CSS, JS, font and SVG files.

Questions about tools

Are these tools free?

Yes. All three are free and need no sign-up or account.

Do these tools test page speed?

Not in a lab. The Core Web Vitals checker shows how fast the page was for real Chrome users. The other two measure what makes pages slow: HTML size and missing compression. For a lab test, use Lighthouse in Chrome DevTools.

Can I check a whole website?

Each tool checks one URL at a time. The Core Web Vitals checker can also show data for the whole origin.

Do I need access to the site?

No. The tools only read what any visitor or crawler can see, so you can check competitors’ pages too.
